News: They plan to bring the 'ultimate chapter' to PS2 and Wii this holiday season.

Atari has announced they are bringing the third Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi to the PS2 and Wii this holiday season. Development duties will once again be shared by Spike and Namco Bandai. Atari has also promised that this will be the "ultimate chapter" in the popular fighting series.

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 will include over 150 playable characters and plenty of improvements over last year's game including "enhanced fighting techniques, beautifully refined effects and shading techniques and over 20 battle stages." Atari has also promised that the Wii-specific controls will be much improved over the previous Budokai Tenkaichi game for more precise control.

"Atari is incredibly excited to offer the ultimate chapter in the Budokai Tenkaichi series with over 20 new characters that have never been seen in any other DBZ video games such as Nail, King Cold and King Vegeta and battle stages that fans will love," said Emily Anadu, Senior Product Manager, Atari, Inc. "Each year, the developers refine the game to bring fans closer to feeling like they are actually playing the show."

We'll have more on Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 soon.
