News: Test Drive: Eve of Destruction is coming to the PS2 and here's the first details.



After diving into the world of illegal street racing for the previous Test Drive game, Atari is now taking on "extreme racing events" for the sequel, Test Drive: Eve of Destruction.

Test Drive: Eve of Destruction will include 25 different events and Atari has highlighted three:


  • Demo Derby?is your basic demolition derby where the?last car standing wins.
  • Trailer Race pits players against each other in a race with each of them towing a big trailer. The one that finishes with the most pieces of their trailer still attached is the winner.
  • Then there's the Gauntlet, which puts the driver in the seat of a hearse attempting to complete a set number of laps as other players try to stop you. Why a hearse? Who knows, maybe they're trying to tap into that massive "Six Feet Under" fanbase.

    When all is said and done, Eve of Destruction will include over 30 vehicles, a four player split screen mode, and a Fall release date.
