On the same week we finally receive Gran Turismo 5, Sony revs its engines extra hard to deliver episodes of Top Gear, too. This on-demand video is part of a wide BBC content push on the PlayStation Store, which will eventually add the science fiction series Doctor Who and the supernatural dramedy Being Human.
BBC programming on PS3 isn't a free content widget like the Xbox 360's convenient ESPN3 channel. The episodes cost $1.99 for standard definition and $2.99 for HD episodes. Thankfully, the first episode of Top Gear is free and Sony promises to "rapidly add BBC programming each week."
