News: That unwieldy headline means that 360 owners get to get in on the character creation too.

One of the key features of Lego Star Wars II is that unlocked characters from the first Lego Star Wars game would be added to the character creator. But what do Xbox 360 owners do? Lego Star Wars never came out on Microsoft's next-gen offering. Well if you're LucasArts you throw the whole package on the Xbox Live Marketplace and let the gamers decide. But then you get...

What! Ripoff! The Man is sticking it to us! They're making us pay for content that others are getting for free!

So Kotaku talked with some of the guys from LucasArts and they assured him that the pack would retail for a paltry amount of Points.

Here's the relevant quote:

"I saw your recent post about Lego Star Wars II on Kotaku and wanted to clarify the situation with characters. There is indeed a Marketplace fee to purchase all of the 50-plus prequel characters on the 360 version, but it's a nominal one -- 200 points, or about $2.50. So that's basically a nickel per character. The characters are not quite available yet, but I'm told it will be soon. I'll keep you posted."

That sounds pretty fair to me.
