News: The rumors are true! It's coming to America.
Share N4G : News for Gamers

After a scan of the July 2009 issue of Nintendo Power was leaked onto the Internet, Capcom has come out and confirmed that Tatsunoko Vs Capcom will be coming to America as Tatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. What is Tatsunoko Vs Capcom? Well, it's a company crossover one-on-one fighting game (similar to Marvel vs Capcom) for the Wii that pits Capcom characters like Mega Man and Ryu versus characters from Tatsunoko Productions.

OK, that's all well and good, but now you might be asking, what's Tatsunoko Productions?

Tatsunoko Productions is a production studio in Japan that specializes in anime, televised anime to be exact. They are responsible for creating many of the shows that first fueled the popularity of anime in America such as Speed Racer, Gatchaman and Macross/Robotech. Because of the variety of properties involved, Capcom had previously said that it was unlikely the game would ever be released in the US. I guess they worked it out.

According to the announcement, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom was listed in Capcom's E3 lineup as "Mystery Game #1". So that secret is out of the bag as well. Mystery Game #2 still remains a mystery however.

No other details (like a release date) were announced, but Capcom said they would reveal more closer to E3 (which runs June 2 - 4).
