News: Get your XBLA games and Microsoft Points through Amazon.

Thinking about picking up the latest addition to the Xbox Live Arcade, OutRun Online Arcade, today? Have you considered Amazon's Xbox Live Store?

The store, which actually launched last week, does not offer disc-based copies of the XBLA's offerings. Instead, after purchasing a game (or Microsoft Points), Amazon will supply you with a download code to get the game onto your Xbox Live. Obviously, an Xbox 360 connected to the Internet is required to use this service.

Right now, Amazon's Xbox Live Store only include XBLA games and Microsoft Points, but there's no reason why game add-ons, Themes, Gamer Pictures and other downloadable items couldn't be added to it as well. And according to Kotaku, rumor has it Nintendo and Sony are working on similar deals to bring their downloadable catalogs to Amazon as well.

But now then, say you did want to buy OutRun Online Arcade from Amazon right now. Well, you can't. The store does not include every XBLA game. Whether this is due to licensing issues or a miscommunication between Microsoft and Amazon, many XBLA games are not available on the store. That includes the afforementioned OutRun, as well as other Days of Arcade releases such as Uno Rush, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix and Flock!

But you should find some way to get a hold of OutRun Online Arcade today, because it is fantastic.
