News: New Beatles music will make it's debut in the game, according to Dhani Harrison.
Dhani Harrison, the son of late Beatle George Harrison, recently talked to Billboard about his involvement in Harmonix's The Beatles: Rock Band.
According to Harrison, he was intimately involved in the creation of the project and helped bring Apple Corps. around to the idea that a Beatles video game would be a good idea. He also underwent a motion capture session for the game, presumably to play the part of his father.
"I took the project to Apple and sort of convinced everybody to have a presentation," says Harrison. "My job description is...being enthusiastic. We've been working on it for the past two years. This is the first one that is going to be totally, historically accurate. It's been a real headache, but it's been the most enjoyable work I've done in my life."
Harrison also said that the game will include previously unreleased songs from The Beatles, but couldn't go into specifics about what those songs could be or when they were recorded.
