News: The "Africa 1943" campaign will pit players against the Desert Fox.
Battlefront.com has announced that Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943 for the PC is ready for release and will be available as a digital download and in stores on April 24.
Theatre of War 2 will expand on its predecessor with "new types of units, improved graphics and sound, combat inside buildings and hand-to-hand fighting, a brand new interface, improved soldier AI and 40 types of different vehicles." As the subtitle reveals, the game will take place in World War II during Erwin "the Desert Fox" Rommell's African campaign:
Theatre of War 2 covers the events of 1943 during the operations in Tunisia. Players will have the option to lead the German Afrika Korps of Rommel in their last full-scale attack or be at the head of the opposing English and American armies, led by Montgomery and Eisenhower, during 15 missions in three campaigns.
