News: Company execs spill the beans on Call of Duty 6, the next Tony Hawk and James Bond Racing.
N'Gai Croal, the blogger behind Newsweek's Level Up blog, attended an event put on by Activision today where executives from the company confirmed some big games for 2009.
First comes the news that Infinity Ward will be back in the developer's seat on the Call of Duty franchise as that series will be stepping back into the future with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Next up, it looks like the Tony Hawk series will return next year with a specially designed skateboard controller. An Activision executive was quoted as saying "You're not going to be playing Tony Hawk with a controller in your hands."
Finally, racing game specialists Bizarre Creations will publish their first two games since becoming an internal studio at Activision. The first will be a kart racing game that will have the flavor of Forza Motorsport. The second will be a racing game set in the James Bond universe. Electronic Arts previously created a Bond racing game known as 007 Racing and had included vehicle sections in James Bond: Agent Under Fire, James Bond: Nightfire and James Bond: Everything or Nothing.
Croal delivered all of this news to the gaming public via his Twitter account, which you can see here.
