News: Looks like the Fallout series can no longer be considered a cult series.

The first two games in the Fallout series were cult classics, but there is nothing cultish about the success of Fallout 3.

The game's developer and publisher, Bethesda Softworks, has announced that approximately 4.7 million copies of Fallout 3 were shipped worldwide last week. The PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game was released on October 28 in America and many other places around the globe. It will be released in Japan on December 4.

Bethesda believes part of the success of the game is due to its stellar reviews. Our own review of Fallout 3 will be posted very soon.
