News: Oh yeah, more wrestling games, can you dig it?
THQ has announced they will be adding a second wrestling series to their stable when they release WWE Legends of Wrestlemania in March 2009. The game will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and will launch alongside next year's WrestleMania event, WrestleMania 25.
?JAKKS Pacific is pleased to introduce a new WWE videogame property to the fighting genre,? said Nelo Lucich, senior vice president of interactive, JAKKS Pacific. ?The WWE SmackDown vs. Raw franchise has captured a collective audience of WWE fans, game enthusiasts and casual players, and we are confident that WWE Legends of WrestleMania will be poised for great success.?
The game will feature popular wrestlers from years past and will probably be similar in tone to Acclaim's Legends of Wrestling series that ran from 2001 to 2004.
