News: Server strains to blame.
Did you wake up this morning expecting to play some Metal Gear Online beta action? Well, we have some bad news for you kids, you can't. The beta that supposed to go live today has been postponed to an unannounced later date due the strains of Konami's servers. Konami had this to say:
Due to extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe, we have been unable to run the service to the level we expected.
Konami will make an official announcement tomorrow, in the mean time I have to wonder how much traffic does it take to crash a server? Quite a lot, but you think that a game built for the purpose of supporting at the very least the amount of beta keys they sent out would work for just that. Considering even more the fact that the beta wasn't supposed to go live until
today, me thinks that early attempts to gain access may have fudged the with the system. I am just theorizing however, what do you guys think did happened?
