Eidos has opened the doors to their new Montreal studio, Eidos Montreal, and in the process announced Deus Ex 3, a title many gamers have been waiting a very long time for. While no platforms have been announced as of yet for Deus Ex 3, a PC release is almost assured with Xbox 360 and PS3 versions very likely. No gameplay details were revealed.

“We are thrilled to be working on such a prestigious franchise as Deus Ex in Montréal, which has a well-known reputation as a hotbed for experienced, talented developers. Our new studio enables us to work with a passionate and talented group of people and helps strengthen our position as industry leaders,” says Stéphane D’Astous, General Manager, Eidos-Montreal.

Eidos Montreal is currently in the process of filling 100 positions on the development team and plans to employ 350 people by the end of 2009.

We'll have more on Deus Ex 3 as we learn it.
