News: Eidos details the Xbox 360's first (kinda) episodic game
Share N4G : News for Gamers

Over the summer, Eidos Interactive announced that Tomb Raider: Anniversary would be coming to the Xbox 360 in September available as four downloadable episodes. A retail version was scheduled to follow in October.

Well, September came and went with no sign of Anniversary, but today Eidos has announced a new plan for the game's release. The retail version will be available first and it will be on stores shelves next week, on October 23. The downloadable episodes are now scheduled to appear on Xbox Live in November.

Eidos also revealed that the game will now be split into two episodes, instead of the originally announced four. Gamers wishing to play the game episodically will also have to own a copy of Tomb Raider: Legend.

We'll have more on Tomb Raider: Anniversary soon.
