  • Willow is voiced by an impersonator because Alyson Hannigan was busy filming "American Wedding."

  • The game was written by Christopher Golden (who has authored many of the Buffy novels) and Thomas E. Sniegoski (who has worked on the Buffy comic).

  • A prequel comic book written by Christopher Golden and Thomas E. Sniegoski and a tie-in novel written by James A. Moore (both also titled Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds) were released alongside the game. The comic book is also an unlockable extra in the game.

  • Takes place between the fifth season episodes "Forever" (5.17) and "Intervention" (5.18).

  • Faith and The First Evil also feature prominently in season seven of the Buffy television show (which first aired in the same year Chaos Bleeds was released). Their interaction with the characters during what would have been the show's fifth season were not addressed in the television show.
