Spiderwick Chronicles jumps from book to movie to game in 2008 @ Gaming Target

News: Popular book series is being turned into a movie and the inevitable video game adapatation.

Sierra has announced they will be publishing the video game adaptation of the movie adaptation of the popular book series The Spiderwick Chronicles. The game, which is being developed by Stormfront Studios, will be coming to the PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, DS and PC in February 2008.

The Spiderwick Chronicles series of books is written by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi and tells the story of twin brothers Jared and Simon and their sister Mallory Grace. The three end up "embark[ing] on a perilous journey filled with adventure and danger."

Fans of the Spiderwick books now not only have the movie to look forward to, but will be able to live in their favorite fantasy world in this adventure filled game.?

Stormfront Studios is no stranger in translating fantastic tales from the big screen to the game screen, having previously worked on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Eragon. As for the Spiderwick game, all we really know is that it "will feature multiple playable characters, each with unique abilities."
