News: I'm absolutely shocked. Is anybody else as shocked as I am?
Microsoft has finally pulled back the curtain on the Xbox 360 Elite and it's everything the rumors made it out to be.
The Elite will be available on April 29 and it will feature a 120 GB hard drive, an HDMI audio/video port, an HDMI connector cable, a Wireless Controller and a headset. The Elite will also come in a new jet black color. The entire package will set you back $479.99.
"Today's games and entertainment enthusiast has an insatiable appetite for digital high-definition content," said Peter Moore, corporate vice president for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. "Xbox 360 Elite's larger hard drive and premium accessories will allow our community to enjoy all that the next generation of entertainment has to offer."
All of the Elite's black accessories will be available for purchase separately at the same price as their white counterparts. A black rechargable battery pack and "Play & Charge" kit will also be sold separately. Current Xbox 360 owners wishing to upgrade their hard drive can purchase the 120 GB hard drive for $179.99.
