News: Best Buy has the game available for pre-order.
The more Square-Enix denies it, the more the rumor seems to grow as it appears the PS3 remake of Final Fantasy VII is available for pre-order at Best Buy. Nevermind that the game has yet to be announced, but there it is. As a launch title even.
The game is listed along with eight other PS3 titles as having a December 1 release date, although seven of the nine aren't expected to make the launch.
The publishers for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 have said those games would be available "in the fall", but they have no confirmed date. But the others: Killzone 2, Tekken 6, Indiana Jones, Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry 4, Medal of Honor: Airborne all have release dates of 2007 or later.
So is this further confirmation that the Final Fantasy VII Remake is on the way? Is it wishful thinking? Is it all a hoax perpetrated by a crafty Best Buy database manager? Or is it a simple mistake?
