News: First details on the limited edition of Mortal Kombat: Deception.
With Collector's Editions of Madden 2005 and Halo 2 already in the pipeline, Midway strikes back with a limited set of their own. Mortal Kombat: Deception: Limited Edition will be available for the PS2 and Xbox on October 4 alongside the regular version.
The Limited Edition will retail for $59.95 and have exclusive packaging featuring Sub-Zero for the PS2 and a choice of Mileena, Baraka, Raiden or Scorpion for the Xbox version.
An arcade-perfect, playable version of the original Mortal Kombat videogame (likely the same as the version that will be featured on Midway Arcade Treasures 2)
Over 40 minutes of bonus DVD video content featuring a "History of Mortal Kombat" movie that chronicles the origins of the franchise through the release of Mortal Kombat: Deception, along with exclusive biographical videos for each of the 25 characters in the game.
A serialized, embossed metal Kollector's Card created exclusively for the Limited Edition sets; there will be five unique cards in total (each of a different MK character), corresponding to the respective packaging.
We'll have more on Mortal Kombat: Deception soon.
