News: It's going Coast 2 Coast.
After its successful rebirth on the Xbox last year, Sega has decided to bring the OutRun franchise to the PS2, PSP and PC next year. OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast is currently scheduled for a March 2006 release and will once again be developed by Sumo Digital.
The new OutRun will take place over 30 tracks handpicked from OutRun 2 and the OutRun 2 SP arcade game. OutRun 2006 also adds two new Ferrari speed machines to its car lineup in the F430 and the Superamerica. Online play opens these cars and tracks up to six players.
Taking a page from the Nintendo playbook, players will also be able to link the PSP and PS2 versions to find unlockable content in both.
