News: EA reveals the first details and screens of their baseball substitute.
It probably stings a little being on this side of the exclusivity contract. After Take Two signed a deal with MLB to be the sole third party manufacturer of MLB baseball games, EA made it known they were exploring the option of an NCAA game. Today they revealed the first details about MVP 06 NCAA Baseball.
MVP 06 NCAA Baseball is in development for the PS2 and Xbox for a Spring 2006 release date. Development duties are being handled by the regular MVP team at EA Canada.
MVP 06 will include an all new Dynasty Mode as well as new batting and throwing systems, a Custom Ballpark feature and a Create-a-Player mode. A full slate of online options will also be included in both versions.
The play-by-play will come from ESPN's Mike Patrick and Kyle Peterson and sound effects will be provided by the sweet ping of the aluminum bats that are so popular in college baseball.
