News: When you need that dose of post-apocalyptic motorcycle gang warfare, Akella delivers.

Akella, the development studio behind Pirates of the Caribbean, has announced they are hard at work on the motorcycle action of Axle Rage. According to Akella, Axle Rage is set in the dark megapolis of Nailsdale and you are Axle, a member of the No Dice gang. And like any good gang member, you and your adventure are connected to the drug trade and the mysterious drug Miro.

Axle Rage will feature both motorcycle and hand to hand combat between Axle and other citizens of Nailsdale. Akella has promised the fights will be very cinematic and have a load of style, but I haven't a clue what movie they could be comparing themselves to.

Akella has also opened the Axle Rage website which will feature more information and screens. Axle Rage is currently scheduled to ship in Late 2004, but right now it does not have a U.S. publisher.
