En Garde! Now Available On Steam With A Launch Discount

News: A new game is now available where you play as a pirate set in 17th-century Spain as you try to liberate people from oppression.

Fireplace Games has revealed that En Garde! is now available on PC via Steam. En Garde! was one of the games in the June Next Fest event and was one of the most prominent games there, having been played by more than 50,000 players. If you pick up the game right now it also has a limited-time launch discount where you can save 10% off the $19.99 price.

In En Garde!, you step into the shoes of Adalia de Volador, a renowned swashbuckling hero, in a whimsical rendition of 17th-century Spain. You will engage in daring escapades filled with charm and wit, and challenge the cruel Count-Duke with unmatched style.

By fighting with flair, exchanging attacks, parrying, and riposting against opponents, you can fill your Panache Meter and unleash special skills. En Garde! encourages adaptability and improvisation, urging players to uncover enemy weaknesses and use the environment to their advantage, be it through surprise attacks, stunning maneuvers, or clever evasions.

In the story mode, you embark on episodic adventures reminiscent of classic TV series, encountering distinct characters, enemies, and trials. You will confront both powerful adversaries and supportive allies while challenging the malevolent Count-Duke to liberate the City from oppression.

Within En Garde!'s Arena mode, you will navigate randomized fight situations and have to tactically combine a variety of gameplay modifiers to triumph over waves of enemies. Throughout these experiences, the dynamic dialogue system preserves the ambience of your sword-fighting journey.
