Starfield Gameplay Trailer Released at Xbox Showcase

News: We now know what type of game Starfield is and how ambitious Bethesda has truly been throughout the game’s development.

There were a lot of announcements and reveals during the Xbox Showcase today. Perhaps the most anticipated one was Bethesda’s newest title, Starfield. Before today we really had not seen a whole lot of this game so no one really knew what to expect. We know the type of games Bethesda tends to make of course so there were some educated guesses but today was the first opportunity we got a really good look at what we will be playing in 2023.

The premise for Starfield is below:

”The year is 2330. Humanity has ventured beyond our solar system, settling new planets, and living as a spacefaring people. From humble beginnings as a space miner, you will join Constellation — the last group of space explorers seeking rare artifacts throughout the galaxy — and navigate the vast expanse of the Settled Systems.”

Starfield is Bethesda’s biggest and most ambitious title to date and gives you true freedom to do what you want. You are basically trying to figure out what is out there in the solar system and the galaxy and will have over 1,000 planets to explore to answer the question. You can build your own spaceship and then take it to another planet. You’ll have combat on the ground and in space, participating in dog fights amongst the stars. You can build up your own base on the different planets you explore, sort of home away from home type of thing. You’ll explore the vast wonders whether you are on a planet that has dinosaurs or on an icy tundra where not much can survive. There doesn’t seem to be a limit to what you can see and explore and with a game on this scale, I doubt you’ll see everything the game has to offer. There is also a massive customization suite so that you can create the character of your dreams.

Starfield is currently slated to be released in early 2023. It will be available exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Game Pass members will be able to download it for free on day one and immediately jump into the stars. Take a look at the video below and tell us what you think.
