SkateBIRD, the avian action sports game from Glass Bottom Games, has arrived on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility, PC via Steam and Itch.io, Amazon Luna, in addition to Xbox Game Pass today.
Cruise through DIY micro skateparks made of everyday objects as a bird on a board. Link tricks, rack up combos, and complete missions while soaring high and trying your best. Grind along rooftops, shred ramps hidden under a bed, and 360 flip over a kitchen sink...unless you’re too chicken. SkateBIRD’s control scheme and accessibility-minded options make for an approachable experience where anyone can become the best Hawk in skating.
Pull off fluttering flips and stylish slides while earning high scores across five levels chock full of trickable obstacles. Ruffle some feathers with graceful grabs and build up a reputation by completing mission objectives in each stage. Amass a following of avian accomplices and wow them with “impeckable” tricks while unlocking cosmetic options to customize over 40 avatars.
Skateboarding is all about self-expression, and style is important no matter how small the skater. From cowboy hats, to colorful scarves and backpacks, SkateBIRD’s accessories let each skater’s personality shine. Look fresh while tracking down hidden mixtapes to unlock new songs or have a solo session with low-fi bird-hop beats in the background.
Progress through SkateBIRD’s story to help Big Friend feel better. They’ve been down in the dumps lately, but seeing a sparrow spin a 540 might just help cheer them up. Move from Big Friend’s bedroom, to their office, server room, and more on a skateboarding journey about giving it your all and getting back up after every fall.
“As a small indie studio, the journey to launching on multiple platforms isn’t always the easiest one, but our community and fans have been instrumental in supporting us every step of the way,” said Megan Fox, founder, Glass Bottom Games. “ We are thrilled the console and PC communities finally get the chance to drop in and get skating!”
SkateBIRD launches today on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility, PC via Steam and Itch.io, and Amazon Luna today with a 10% launch discount for $17.99. It will also debut on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox systems and Windows 10. The game supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language options.
