Halo Infinite’s release date has finally been revealed, alongside a pretty cool limited edition Xbox Series X. With Gamescom currently going on, announcements are being made for a variety of products. This one is sure to excite Xbox and Halo fans though as it is celebrating the 20 year anniversary of when Master Chief first appeared on our consoles. The Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle and the Halo Infinite Limited Edition Elite Series 2 will launch on November 15, 2021 in celebration of Halo’s 20th Anniversary. Halo Infinite itself will launch soon thereafter on December 8, 2021.
The design of the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X console is described by Microsoft as the following:
”This design was inspired by the expansive Halo universe and is wrapped with dark metallic paneling accented by iridium gold. Above the armor there is a custom star pattern as seen from the surface of Zeta Halo that extends to the top of the console and onto the fan. Below the stars, the top vent is accented in Cortana-themed blue. To top it off, the console powers on and off with custom Halo-themed sounds. The controller included in the bundle features a matching design on the front, an iridium gold 20-year mark on the back, as well as side-and-back grips to accommodate all play styles.”
If you happen to pick up this bundle there will also be a downloadable copy of Halo Infinite included. Of course with the game not being released until December 8th you won’t be able to play it right away, but you will have it nonetheless. Halo Infinite on Xbox Series X will be 4K and at 60 frames per second, while the Multiplayer Arena will support up to 120 frames per second, advanced 3D Spatial Sound, and more.
This limited edition Halo Infinite Xbox Series X bundle launches on November 15, 2021 for $549.99. Pre-orders are available beginning today. The Halo Infinite Limited Edition Elite Series 2 controller will also be available on November 15, 2021, and will retail for $199.99.
