News: The new lineup of titles that is coming should make sports fans pretty happy.
Microsoft has just revealed the next slate of games that will hit the Game Pass service and for this update it is largely for those who enjoy sports titles.. There are six new games “coming soon” and they include the following:
Xbox
NBA 2K21
Star Wars Squadrons
NHL 21
Madden NFL 21
Football Manager 2021 Xbox Edition
PC
Football Manager 2021
xCloud
NBA 2K21
As far as the dates that these games will arrive, Madden NFL 21 is available right now on Game Pass. Football Manager 2021 on PC will be available tomorrow on March 4th. Football Manager 2021 Xbox Edition will also be available tomorrow on March 4th. You will be able to hit court in NBA 2K21 on March 4th. Star Wars Squadrons doesn’t have a specific date yet only listed as “Coming in March”. NHL 21 also doesn’t have a specific date yet, only listed as “Coming in April”.
One thing that we do need to note is that Microsoft has not told us what version of these titles we will be receiving. So, for example, we don’t know if we will be receiving the Xbox Series X|S version of NBA 2K21 or the Xbox One version that can play on Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility.
There are a few other items you might have missed recently that you might want to know about. Cricket 19 is also available right now on the PC version of Game Pass. Elite Dangerous is also available right now on xCloud.
In terms of DLC and other updates, Control has a sale going right now where you can get 50% The Foundation and AWE expansions or 35% off the Season Pass for Control until March 8th. There is a Gears 5 Operations 6 DLC Bundle where Game Pass members can save 10% and gear up with new content. Finally, Minecraft: The Mountain is also available now, for free. This is a new adventure map inspired by the all-new novel from Max Brooks.
When new titles arrive in Game Pass that usually means some of the existing titles get rotated out. That is the case here as well with five titles leaving the Game Pass program in the near future. Those titles include the following:
Alvastia Chronicles (Console and PC)
Astrologaster (PC)
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (Console and PC)
Kona (Console)
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Console)
