Sega has announced some release date revisions for Yakuza: Like a Dragon for those who might be interested. It was already previously known that this new Yakuza game would be a launch title for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that it is a timed exclusive for Microsoft for the next generation of consoles. Earlier today though Sega also revealed it will also be launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows 10, and Steam on November 10. If you buy the Xbox One version you will be able to upgrade to the Series X or Series S version via the Smart Delivery upgrade path.
The only version that won’t be released on November 10th is the PlayStation 5 version in the West. If you are a PlayStation 5 gamer and you want to experience this new Yakuza title you will have to wait until March 2, 2021 to pick it up. If you purchase the digital PS4 version of Yakuza: Like A Dragon on the PlayStation Store you will be able to download the PS5 version at no extra cost when it launches in March. The PS5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also be available as a standalone title for $59.99, with commensurate pricing in EMEA.
An experience like no other, Yakuza: Like a Dragon brings dynamic RPG gameplay to the streets of Yokohama, Japan, with an epic adventure that combines the intense brawls, crushing drama, and over the top hilarity that the Yakuza series is known for. The game also features voice acting from a dynamic cast of actors, including George Takei, Kaiji Tang, Andrew Morgado, Greg Chun and Elizabeth Maxwell.
