Microsoft has officially revealed the heavily rumored Xbox Series S. After many leaks and “confirmed” reports, it is now legitimately confirmed from Microsoft that the Xbox Series S will be coming out alongside the Xbox Series X, however, the Series S will be significantly cheaper. As far as power is concerned the Xbox Series S appears to be more power than an Xbox One X, however, not quite as powerful as the Xbox Series X. This no doubt has lead to the cheaper price. Physically speaking, the Xbox Series S is the smallest Xbox that Microsoft has ever made. Some of the specs that Microsoft has revealed include:
All-Digital
1440P At Up To 120FPS
DirectX RayTracing
Variable Rate Shading
Variable Refresh Rate
Ultra-Low Latency
Custom 512GB SSD
4K Streaming Media Playback
4K Upscaling for Games
As you can see from those specs, this console is all digital only and there will not be a Series S sku with an optical drive. If you are still someone who prefers physical media you will need to pick up a Xbox Series X.
Microsoft announced that the Xbox Series S will arrive on November 10 and will be available for $299. One has to assume that the Xbox Series X will also arrive on November 10. No price has been announced for the Series X, however, there are strong indicators that will be available for $499. Which of these do you plan on picking up? Check out the reveal below and then tell us what you think.
