News: Some games are going to get some extra spotlight over the next six week’s during Microsoft’s summer promotion.

”Microsoft”

Microsoft has revealed that beginning today they are running a “Summer Spotlight” promotion where they will be showcasing six indie titles. It is reminiscent of the “Summer of Arcade” promotions that Microsoft used to run during the Xbox 360 generation. Every week will feature new titles for six weeks with September 9th being the final day of the promotion. That date seems to work pretty well as that is the timeframe when Gears of War 5 will be arriving so gamers can transition from this program to one of Microsoft’s biggest franchises.

The games that are involved in this Summer promotion include the following:

  • Blair Witch

  • Vigor

  • Wreckfest

  • World of Warships Legends

  • Age of Wonders Planetfall

  • Bless Unleashed

  • Creature In The Well

  • Metalwolf Chaos XD

  • In addition to these titles being showcased Microsoft has also revealed that you can pick up some nice rewards by purchasing these titles. More specifically, you can earn up to 4,000 Microsoft Rewards Points by fully participating in this promotion. You will earn these 4,000 Rewards Points when you spend $40 on games featured in the Summer Spotlight in the Microsoft Store. You can check out those titles by clicking here. It should be noted that Free to Play DLC purchases do not count towards completion of this promotion.

Check out the trailer below that showcases the games involved in this Summer Spotlight promotion and then tell us what you think. Which games do you plan on purchasing? Do you plan on getting all of them?
