E3 2019: Square Enix’s Avengers Game is Revealed and Gets A Release Date

News: You will get a chance to join in on the Avenger’s newest adventure in the Spring of 2020.

Square Enix’s Avenger game was finally revealed at their E3 press conference this evening. It is going to be an action-adventure game that will combine cinematic storytelling with both single-player and co-operative gameplay. Developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Eidos Montreal, Crystal Northwest, and Nixxes Software, Marvel’s Avengers will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC beginning on May 15, 2020.

Marvel’s Avengers invites players to live their Super Hero dreams. Storytelling and an ever-expanding universe come together in the definitive Avengers gaming experience. You will have to master extraordinary abilities, customize a growing roster of Heroes, assemble into teams of up to four players, and defend the Earth from escalating threats.

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Marvel’s Avengers features a cinematic story, complete with action that Crystal Dynamics is known for. Featuring regular content updates, the game will take players on a journey delivered over multiple years.
