Borderlands 3 Release Date and Different Editions Revealed

News: Borderlands 3 is coming this year with some different versions that contain a plethora of extras.

Borderlands 3 was revealed during PAX East but now we have a release date and it is sooner than anyone thought. You will be able to get your hands on this new Borderlands adventure beginning on September 13, 2019. In Borderlands 3 you will be able to blast through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters. You will be able to play solo or join with some friends to take on all of the enemies, collect the “bazillions” of guns and a whole lot of loot.

The Borderlands franchise has been a big success for Gearbox selling over 41 million units globally. The most popular title in the franchise is Borderlands 2 which still sees a lot of action with more than one million unique monthly users more than six years after the initial release in 2012.

With the release of Borderlands 3 only a few months away there are a number of different versions for you to choose from as well. They are all outlined below.

Borderlands 3 Standard Edition - $59.99

The Borderlands 3 Standard Edition includes the base game.

The Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition includes the base game, as well as bonus digital content.

The Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition includes all of the bonus digital content and pre-order bonus of the Deluxe Edition plus the Borderlands 3 Season Pass, which includes:

Four campaign DLC packs featuring new stories, missions, and challenges;

Butt Stallion weapon skin, weapon trinket, and grenade mode.

Borderlands 3 is being released in September, however, the original Borderlands is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC for $29.99. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is the new definitive version of the game which will boast ultra HD remastered graphics, significant quality-of-life content updates, and all add-on content included.

Additionally, Gearbox and 2K also released an Ultra HD Texture Pack that increases the visual fidelity of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on consoles, and provides a visual upgrade for Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and all the game add-ons for both titles on PC.

Gearbox has dubbed 2019 “The Year of Borderlands” and with so much activity surrounding this franchise this year it is easy to see why.
