News: In a bit of a surprise move, Ubisoft has revealed that we will get a glimpse at the next Assassin’s Creed in two weeks in Los Angeles.

Ubisoft has just revealed that Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey will be making an appearance at E3 this year. Rumors have been circulating about the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for some time, with some of them saying that it will take place in ancient Greece. Going by the teaser that Ubisoft has just posted it would appear that rumor is indeed accurate.

Kotaku also has some interesting information about Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, including the following:

  • Odyssey will continue to change up the Assassin’s Creed formula, much like Assassin’s Creed Origins did

  • There will be some dialogue options for the first time in an Assassin’s Creed game

  • You will have the choice of playing as either a male or female protagonist

  • That is really all we know about Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey right now, and even those are simply rumors at this point. It would appear that this new Assassin’s Creed title might be coming out this holiday season but that is just speculation on my part. I had previously thought we might see a new Splinter Cell this fall but if Assassin’s Creed is indeed Ubisoft’s big fall release I’m not sure where Sam Fisher would fit in.
