News: Some changes are coming to Need for Speed Payback that should improve the progression system overall.
Need for Speed Payback was released a few weeks back. Ever since the release EA has been releasing patches and updating content based on the feedback they have been receiving. Once such change is decreasing the amount of time for parts within the tune up shops to refresh. Instead of being 30 minutes that time has now been reduced to 10 minutes.
In addition to that there have been changes to ways that events, bait crates and roaming racers work. By completing any of these tasks in the game you will now earn more in-game currency as well as more REP. This increase in winnings should allow you to purchase more cars as well as more parts. Your increase in REP will net you more shipments which will in turn lead to more bank, more part tokens and more vanity items.
If you play in Ranked Speedlists you will also notice an increased amount of parts that are being paid out. If you happen to win the Speedlist then you are guaranteed a new part. They have also increased the frequency in which they are rewarded for simply playing in the Speedlists. A list of everything that is being changed is below:
Changes to Need for Speed Payback that are available now
Decreased the time it takes for new parts to appear in Tune-Up shops, down from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
Increased the amount of REP awarded by taking part in events.
Increased the amount of Bank awarded by taking part in events.
Bait crates now reward increased REP.
Bait crates now reward increased Bank.
Competing against a Roaming Racer will reward you with increased REP.
Competing against a Roaming Racer will reward you with increased Bank.
Increased rate in which parts are rewarded within Ranked Speedlists.
Air Suspension will now appear more frequently.
Slightly increased REP and Bank for finishing an event outside of first place.
Changes that are coming in a match but aren’t available yet
Tune-up shops now stock higher quality parts.
Improved quality of cards from targeted rolls in the Tune-Up Shops.
Increased the level on parts awarded from winning events.
Multiple fixes to improve stability.
Improved game performance.
