The Xbox One X is currently available for pre-order but it appears to be selling out quickly. At the time of this writing Amazon in the U.S. is sold out and it appears that stores like Best Buy are not far behind. The Xbox One X is currently slated to be released on November 7 but pre-orders just opened up this afternoon.
Microsoft has a small conference from Gamescom where they really didn’t show much but they did unveil the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition. As you might recall “Project Scorpio” was the codename for the Xbox One X. When Microsoft revealed the Xbox One X name a lot of people thought that Scorpio might have sounded better. With that being the case Microsoft has created this extremely limited edition day one version of the Xbox One X.
The Xbox One X Project Scorpio edition is the same price as the regular Xbox One X. Microsoft has stated though that once the Project Scorpio edition is gone that it isn’t coming back and then they’ll start selling normal Xbox One X units at that point. If you want to try and get one of these limited Project Scorpio consoles then I highly suggest you pre-order right now to give yourself the best chance at getting one.
