News: Microsoft has added five more games to the ever growing list of Xbox 360 games that you can play on the Xbox One.

”Assassin’s

More games have been added to the Xbox One backwards compatibility library. Major Nelson revealed that Gyromancer, Moon Diver and Space Invaders Infinity Gene can now be played on Xbox One. Then a little later on in the day we also found out that Assassin’s Creed Rogue, Borderlands 2 (part of Games with Gold in March) and The King of Fighters 2002 was also added.

Assassin’s Creed fans have been wanting to play this game on an Xbox One since it launched on the Xbox 360 and in the absence of a proper version on Xbox One the backwards compatible Xbox 360 version will do nicely. This is the Assassin’s Creed where you get to play some of the time as a Templar and see events from their perspective and it might make you think differently about some things. Assassin’s Creed Rogue is also the sequel to the popular Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag so if you want some more pirate action on the high seas then you will definitely want to check this game out.

Borderlands 2 is another big title and if you don’t already have it Microsoft is going to give it to you for free as part of the March Games with Gold lineup. Living up to the mantra “bigger, better and more badass,” Borderlands 2 features all-new characters; skills; imaginative, diverse new environments with unique missions and enemies; and more exciting and fun weapons, equipment and loot than ever before. All of these features come together in a story that takes players to the world of Pandora to take down the notorious Handsome Jack and his corrupt Hyperion Corporation as a solo campaign or with up to four cooperative players

The King of Fighters 2002 is a popular fighting franchise from SNK. Gyromancer is a new puzzle-RPG developed in collaboration between Square Enix and PopCap. With a blend of puzzle elements from the PopCap Games puzzle hit Bejeweled Twist and the RPG mastery of Square Enix, Gyromancer is an all-new experience in the puzzle-RPG genre. Moon Diver is a fast-paced classic side-scrolling title for up to four players locally or via online cooperative play. It comes from Koichi Yosui, the game designer behind one of the most iconic arcade action games, Strider.

With Space Invaders Infinity Gene the game starts off with the classic Space Invaders look, but as you rack up your score, it evolves. Unlock new stages, sounds, power ups, and new features. The game moves from fixed two-dimensional graphics to high-speed side-scrolling and gradually on into full 3D. Experience the outcome of decades of shooting game evolution in Space Invaders Infinity Gene.

Which of these titles are you more excited to play on your Xbox One? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
