Xbox One gamers are in for a treat in 2017 with a bunch of titles that have been in development for quite a while finally being released. Halo Wars 2 is now available for both Xbox One and Windows 10 gamers as a “Play Anywhere” title but that is just the beginning. This year Xbox One gamers will see games like Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, Cuphead, Tacoma, Phantom Dust, Forza Motorsport 7, Voodoo Vince and more.. As is the case most years you will see a lot of these games in the second half of 2017 but there are some that will most likely come out in the Spring and Summer as well.
In addition to a plethora of titles for Xbox One will be the release of the new Xbox, Project Scorpio. There isn’t a whole lot known about this machine yet and one has to assume there will be a reveal at E3 with bunch of information that everyone wants to know. Microsoft claims it will be the most powerful console ever produced. Early specs seem like they might be able to back that claim but we won’t know anything definitive until E3 in June, including the price point. We also aren’t clear if Scorpio will be simply an incremental upgrade or if will be something much more. From what I heard last year at E3 as well as various rumors around the internet it sounds like it will be the latter.
To give you a sneak peek of what is to come in 2017 for Xbox gamers Microsoft has released a special version of their “This Week on Xbox” video series. In this video they briefly talk about the aforementioned titles and what gamers can expect to be playing throughout the year. Take a look for yourself and tell us what you think. Which game are you most excited to play? Is it something that is talked about in this video or do you think it will be a project we don’t know about yet?
