The Elder Scrolls Online is heading to the PlayStation 4 Pro. I know that might seem like a strange announcement since all PS4 games are going to be playable on the Pro but if you have a high end 4K TV that has HDR then you are getting a prettier version here. This will be available via a free game update a little later this year.
Bethesda has released a new trailer showing The Elder Scrolls Online running in 4K on the PlayStation Pro but, obviously, you will need a 4K monitor to see the difference. When the PlayStation 4 Pro launches in November, The Elder Scrolls Online will be immediately playable in 4K resolution, whether purchased new, or with existing game discs. Since the game was originally designed for a wide range of PC specifications, ZeniMax Online Studios was able to scale up the presentation alongside the scaled up power of the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro. For players, this means that if you play The Elder Scrolls Online on PlayStation 4 Pro with a 1080p HD television, you will experience increased graphical fidelity; if a player uses a 4K monitor, the game will automatically run in 4K.
Take a look at the new trailer below and tell us what you think. Will you be playing The Elder Scrolls Online in 4K?
