News: A gameplay video for We Happy Few has just been released showcasing the opening moments of the game.

”We

One of the indie games that was shown off at Microsoft’s E3 press conference today was “We Happy Few”. Set in an alternate history England during the 1960s, We Happy Few is the tale of slightly terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial. To find your way out of Wellington Wells and reconstruct the past, you’ll have to blend in with its other citizens, who don’t take kindly to those who don’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

The opening sequence to the game, in which Arthur Hastings suddenly decides to go off the state-encouraged happy pills, was revealed during Microsoft’s E3 media briefing. Unfortunately for Arthur, Downers are very, err, frowned upon in Wellington Wells. We Happy Few is set to launch on Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview on July 26.

Check out the video below and tell us what you think. Are you interested in We Happy Few?
