News: There are now four more Xbox 360 games that you can download and play via backwards compatibility on your Xbox One.

”Xbox

A few days ago we reported that some games had “leaked” on to the Xbox marketplace and you were able to play some Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One via the backwards compatibility feature despite them not being on the official list. Microsoft removed those games and claimed that it was an error and they are simply in the process of testing those games out. Earlier today though there was an official update adding some new titles to the backwards compatibility list. Strangely enough only one game from the leaked titles over the weekend made the cut this time. Red Dead Redemption, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and others are nowhere to be found at this time.

The new games that are now available to be played on Xbox One via backwards compatibility include:

  • Alan Wake’s American Nightmare

  • Lego Batman

  • Sam & Max Beyond Time & Space

  • Trials HD

  • If you own the digital versions of these games then they should be available for you to install now. Simply go to your Games library and scroll all the way to the right to the ‘Ready to Install’ section. If you own the physical version of Lego Batman (the only one out of this new list to have a physical release) then put your Xbox 360 disc into the Xbox One and install it like you would any normal game. It will ping the Xbox Live server and download the game so you can play it. Keep in mind though that you will need to have the disc in the drive to play the game.

What do you think of the new titles? Do you think Red Dead Redemption, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and others will soon make the official list? What other games do you want to see become backwards compatible? Tell us what you think below.
