Xbox February Games With Gold Titles Revealed by Microsoft

News: The new games that Xbox Live Gold members will receive in February has been revealed with two free games for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360.

The month of February begins next week which means a new slate of free games for Xbox Live Gold members. Keep in mind that ever since Xbox One introduced backwards compatibility that the free Xbox 360 games can be played on the Xbox One as well. Like normal there are two free Xbox One games and two free Xbox 360 games. These free games include:

Xbox One

Hand of Fate (February 1 through February 29) - In Hand of Fate, players collect equipment, items, artifacts and enemies as in-game collectible cards in a card based RPG; then play their deck, bringing to video game life a beautiful 3D world in which gamers make difficult decisions. Sometimes their choices have unexpected consequences and players must crush their foes utilizing a third person action-adventure combat system. The more bosses a player defeats, the more cards they obtain.

Styx: Master of Shadows (February 16 through March 15) - Styx: is a very short and very… green antagonist, and has hardcore stealth gameplay designed to reward player skill and strategy. Its new mechanics bring the stealth genre not only back to its roots, but also brings a breath of fresh air to it. Vertical level design, organic player path finding and fluid movement, and the constant threat of being overpowered by the enemy makes Master of Shadows a tense and strategic stealth game like no other before it.

Xbox 360

Sacred Citadel (February 1 through February 15) - Sacred Citadel is a side-scrolling action brawler, a new standalone title that is set in the rich universe of Sacred. Sacred Citadel will reinvent the familiar arcade feel of classic brawlers while setting a new standard for the future of side scrolling hack and slash games.

There are several playable character classes, such as the Safiri Warrior, the Ancarian Ranger and the Khukuri Shaman , each with a different skill set that can be further individualized through RPG features and collectible items. Each character will also have the ability to dual-wield two exchangeable weapons, use combo attacks and perform double jumps. All of which combines into a fluid and unique arcade game experience with sophisticated graphics and spectacular effects. The player will also be able to ride mounts, use war machines and spend his hard earned cash in towns all over the world of Sacred Citadel.

Gears of War 2 (February 16 through February 29) - Players continue as Marcus Fenix, a reluctant war hero and leader of Delta Squad, six months after the events of “Gears of War.” The last cities on Sera are sinking, swallowed by a new Locust threat from below. A massive counterattack is humanity’s last hope for survival.
