Madden NFL 16 is hitting store shelves next week but EA Access members can begin downloading their free trial right now. Madden NFL 16 is set to deliver all-new controls that will allow you to dominate in the battle for air supremacy. There are some new QB mechanics that will include “body-relative” throws as well as touch and roll out passes that provide you with unprecedented depth and control while under center. This is combined with a new risk/reward catch and pass system that should provide some big moments.
As far as the presentation goes, they are trying to get it as authentic as they can. They have created cameras that are grounded in reality but at the same time they aren’t possible in a normal broadcast. EA calls these “On The Field” cameras. These cameras will be up close and personal with players during some of their biggest moments whether that be a touchdown, a sack or something else. There is also a new Wirecam that will “fly” around like on a normal broadcast. Madden NFL 16’s wirecam though can track action be right next to the QB right before the ball is snapped. EA has also stated that there will be “living worlds” in Madden NFL 16. They wanted to try and improve the crowds from previous iterations and this year they have added more crowd props to the game, which include rally towels (in stadiums that feature them), fan signs and foam fingers.
The team over at EA seems to have added quite a bit to this year’s version with the aforementioned items being a small part of it. Madden NFL 16 becomes available on August 25, however, you can download and play it for yourself right now if you are an EA Access member. Will you be picking up Madden NFL 16?
