News: New features have arrived on Xbox One with the March system update including one of the most highly requested features, screenshots.

Xbox One March System Update

The March system update is now live on Xbox One according to Major Nelson. The March update brings screenshot capability to the Xbox One, improved file transparency and more. Preview program members have been using it for a few weeks now ironing out some problems and now everyone can take a screenshot of their favorite moment in a game simply by double tapping the bit “X” button on the top of the controller and then hitting “Y” to save it.

The full list of the new features available as part of the March update for Xbox One include:

  • Screenshots

  • Updated Upload app to manage your screenshots

  • Suggested Friends - This will include people you might know that you don’t already have on your friends list.

  • Sharing Your Name - There are two new ways to share your name. The first is with all of your friends or to everyone in the Live community. You can also continue to share your name with only select people or not at all.

  • Party Chat Enhancements - Two new icons have been added to party chat to show each participant their microphone status.

  • Tile Transparency - A new setting to vary the level of transparency on your dashboard

  • Report Spam - The messages app now has an option where you can report spam.

  • Live TV & OneGuide in Australia - Now available to all users in Australia for free-to-air TV listings.

  • What do you think about March’s update? Are you excited to finally have the screenshot feature? What would you like to see included in April’s update? Tell us what you think below.
