inFamous First Light Gamescom Trailer Released by Sony

News: Sony is releasing some new details about the upcoming DLC for inFamous: Second Son along with a new trailer.

Later this month we will be receiving the first piece of downloadable content for inFamous: Second Son with inFamous: First Light. Earlier today Sony released a new trailer showcasing some of what we can expect once this content becomes available. It should be quickly noted that you do not need to own inFamous: First Light in order to play this piece of downloadable content. You can play it as a standalone product, however, you will enjoy it more if you have gone through the main campaign of inFamous: Second Son beforehand.

This new content is an origin story for Abigail “Fetch” Walker, a character we didn’t get to learn a whole lot about during the main campaign. After being captured by the D.U.P., Fetch is taken to Curdun Cay, a conduit prison up in the snowy mountains, where D.U.P. leader Augustine sets out to train Fetch to become a ruthless killer.

A new feature of the First Light DLC is re-playable Battle Arenas with worldwide leaderboard support. This is a new game type that hasn’t been in an inFamous title before and there is a brief tease of it in the trailer below. As part of the campaign, you’ll find that Augustine uses these arenas as training grounds for conduits she is trying to turn into killers. As Fetch you are put through wave after wave of enemies, trying to sharpen and enhance your skills. As you progress through the game you can return to these battle arenas to compete with scores on the leaderboards. As an added bonus, if you do still have your copy of inFamous: Second Son laying around, you will be able to play as Delson in these Battle Arenas.
