Deep Silver Releases Risen 3 Back to the Roots Feature Trailer

News: A new trailer has just been released for Risen 3 showing off how Piranha Bytes is going back to their roots for their upcoming game.

German-based RPG developer Piranha Bytes, creators of the Gothic series, are going back to their roots with the newest installment of the classic role-playing series, Risen. In Risen 3: Titan Lords, published by Deep Silver, open-world exploration is paramount in the largest game world ever created by developer Piranha Bytes. The diverse landscapes are handcrafted and full of life, providing the player with the same authentic, classic experience that epitomized the Gothic series as well as the original Risen. In their "Back to the Roots" video feature, Piranha Bytes and Deep Silver take the player to the various locations of Risen 3: Titan Lords and show how favorite elements of the previous Piranha Bytes games are coming back.

Forsaken by the gods, the perilous world of Risen 3 stands on the brink of ruin, its peoples threatened by a mysterious menace from the darkness. But dark knights are regrouping, driven by ancient convictions and equipped with the best weapons and armor mankind has to offer: the Demon Hunters. At one time a dedicated and privileged cult, this reclusive sect has all but sunk into oblivion over the course of centuries.

Everyday, the decay of their citadel reminds the Demon Hunters of their negligence over the past decades. Eager for battle, now they face the dark menace, ready to revive the past and fight back the shadows with their mighty axes, hammers and swords. The time has come for them to restore the Bay of Iron and the massive citadel to their former glory and strike fear into the hearts of their enemies.
