News: Phil Spencer has just sent out a Tweet announcing the news that Minecraft fans on the Xbox 360 have been waiting to hear.
Minecraft for Xbox One is currently in development and Phil Spencer has just given Minecraft fans some great news. According to Mr. Spencer if you have the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft and have been playing it, your save file will transfer over to the Xbox One version. This is certain to be huge news for those Minecraft fans who have spent hundreds of hours in the game and can now take advantage of what the Xbox One version has to offer without starting from square one.
Created by independent Swedish developer studio Mojang, Minecraft was officially released in 2011 with an overwhelming reception from the gaming community. To date, more than 14 million people have bought the game and crafted everything from boats to entire cities. Due to the versatility and customisation the title offers, fans span from the hard-core gaming community to a younger school audience.
In Minecraft you can build, craft and explore a world with the freedom to do whatever you want. Dig down into the unknown depths or build incredible structures, from humble homes to grand cityscapes. Decide to go it alone or bring your friends along for the ride in eight-player online multiplayer and four-player split screen modes. The only limit is your imagination.
