News: Tecmo Koei has teamed up with Nintendo to bring a new Fatal Frame game out which will hopefully be released in all territories.
Tecmo Koei and Nintendo are working together to bring a new entry in the Fatal Frame series to the Wii U according to a story on Famitsu (translated by Gematsu). It would appear that isn’t the only thing either as a live-action film is currently in production as well as a novel.
The latest Fatal Frame, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse was released in 2008 in Japan but never made it to the West. There was also a Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly remake that launched for the Wii in June 2012 in Europe and Japan but it never made it to North America.
Unfortunately that is all we really know right now. While it isn’t much fans of the series should be excited to hear a new one is coming to the Wii U and, hopefully, it comes out in all territories. The actual title of the game and the release date haven’t been revealed as of yet. Are you excited to play a new Fatal Frame on the Wii U? What functionality would you like to see them use with the GamePad? Tell us what you think below.
