InFamous: Second Son update arrives on PS4 tomorrow

News: Sucker Punch has revealed that an update for inFamous: Second Son will arrive tomorrow with new features and a new mode.

InFamous: Second Son is getting a new patch tomorrow according to Sucker Punch. This new update will bring in some of the items that Sucker PUnch has been promising along with a new feature that you weren’t expecting. For starters there is the option to cap the game frame rate at 30 FPS if you prefer going through the game this way. Please keep in mind that this is a cap, not a lock. You still might experience the occasional frame rate drop here and there. Other items that will be present in this update include:

A handful of localization text changes, and a couple of fixes for rare crashes in the game.

If your controller battery runs out in the middle of gameplay, your game will pause.

If you are choosing expert difficulty, they will let you know within the options dialog if you are qualified for the “Unstoppable” trophy the moment you opt in.

Photo Mode

Photo Mode is definitely a surprise feature that Sucker Punch has managed to add. Once this update is downloaded you can enable photo mode within the options. Once you do that, clicking L3 will pause the game, and it will allow you to use a suite of their internal tools (such as setting depth of field) to take even more amazing shots.

Sucker Punch has also stated that these options and settings, including frame rate, will reset every time you turn off the game. Photo Mode will also only work in situations where you have complete control in the camera. If you are in a cut scene, for example, you will won’t be able to use Photo Mode but you can still take pictures using the “Share” button like you always have.
