PSN Network News: Sony gives us a heads up that PSN will be undergoing maintenance tomorrow on November 7 during the day.
Sony has revealed that PSN will be undergoing maintenance tomorrow, November 7, from 8am-3pm, pacific time. It is only planned to be a seven hour maintenance window, however, for both MS and Sony, sometimes it ends up being a lot more than that. You would think that they would look at their numbers to find out when the least amount of people are playing and then update then instead of updating during the day.
It should be noted though if you have logged in to PSN over the past few days you should still have functionality for the most part. Here is what Sony had to say:
“If you’ve signed onto PSN over the past few days, you’ll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, buy you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management as these services will be unavailable. Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during this maintenance window.”
With the release of the PS4 next week in North America and some other territories one has to assume this maintenance window is to prep for Sony’s newest addition to the PlayStation family. Perhaps even the day one patch will become available so those of us who want to download it off of PlayStation.com can do so before the servers are bombarded on November 15.
What do you think about this announcement? Will it affect you at all?
