News: Do you want to have early access to some of the upcoming Xbox 360 features? Sign up for beta access now before all of the slots are filled.



Xbox Live

The 2013 Xbox Live Update Xbox 360 Public Beta will be happening a little later this year but Microsoft is taking applications right now. According to Major Nelson, it will include updates to improve overall performance and the ability to conduct transactions with local currency since Microsoft Points will be retired later this year.

For people who have participated in these beta programs in the past the way you sign up for it has changed. Now you sign up on your Xbox 360 and it only takes a few moments to do so. As soon as you boot up your console you an option on the main page to sign up for the Xbox 360 beta. All you have to do is click on that to download a small program. Once downloaded launch the program, agree to the NDA they present and then you will be officially registered for the beta.

It should also be noted that Xbox Live members in any of the 41 Xbox Live-enabled markets will be able to participate in the public beta for Xbox 360. There is a limited number of slots available and, in the past, these slots have filled up within the first day or so. If you are interested in participating you better so do quickly before the registration period closes.
